Limon, Costa Rica 2016 3-15

Limon, Costa Rica is where we will be today and Ross and I have an excursion where we will kayak through the jungle bug spray for sure today no Zika virus for us!!

Well it took approximately 30 minutes by bus to arrive at the kayak jungle adventure.  They took us through town.  Their town is pretty poor but it looks like they are going to redo some of it.  We go there and Roy Smith Parker was our tour guide, he was a school teacher and he knew a lot about the eco land.  We went down the          River.  We saw several howler monkeys, egrets, herons, and two sloths.  It was really nice and hot too.  The tour took us to the ocean.  We turned around at that point and went back the total tour was about 1 1/2 hours long.  Afterwards they gave us fresh fruit, pineapple, papaya, and watermelon.  They also gave us a big coconut and we drank coconut water from a straw.

This green bus is what took us to the jungle kayak tour. It looks like a bug.

Here is Ross and I on the bus

Example of the poor living conditions with the kids on the porch.

This is the hotel where we turned into but it is no longer a hotel they use this place now strictly for tourist to do the jungle tours.

The flowers here are unbelieveable and big.

Bird of paradise.

Roy Parker Smith our tour guide, he was awesome.

They are getting our kayaks ready

Cute little dog they have alot of dogs running the streets, this one had part of his ear missing. Poor baby.

We all had to wear life jackets for safety reasons.

Dog planted himself right by Ross's feet animals love Ross.

Here we go.

This is where we casted off, Ross and I were the firsts one on the kayak.

Here comes our group, there were approx. 30 people or so.

The tour guides pointed out howler monkeys in the trees and we even saw a sloth, wow they are slow moving.

Here we are at the entrance to the ocean, this is where we turned around the whole trip took about 1 1/2 hours or so.

The ocean, the waves were crashing that day.

What a wonderful adventure kayaking in the jungle.

You can see by my hand how big these flowers are

A refreshing coconut drink after the trip.

Cute little native boy, he had his dog, He was four years old.
