Williamstad, Curacao 2016 March 11

We have arrived in Willemstad, Curacao early around 7 a.m.  Ross and I have a tour of the caves today and then we go into the city and look around there too.  We have a guided tour Lita, she is really nice and full of knowledge.  The country of Curacao is Dutch so you see many things from Holland.

The buildings here are painted very colorfully they are restoring them.

There are two parts to the city and a bridge divides them and you can also take a ferry.  When the cruise ships come in they connect the bridge to the two islands so tourist can just walk back and forth instead of taking the free ferry.

This is the bridge not connected but the following pictures will show how they connect together.

It swings out further until they touch the other side of the island.

We are doing a tour of the Hato Caves you have to actually climb 49 steps up hill to the caves.

Welcome to the Hato caves.

Here is our tour guide Lita.

They have huge aloe vera plants everywhere.

Large cactus plants also

Inside Hato caves the green is where the sunlight has come through this place is the only place you can take pictures. Light from cameras also causes the green so they limit you from taking pictures to this place that is already getting natural sunlight.

This is a place in the caves where the light comes through and the bats come in and out of.

Here are some of the people going down the stairs now that we are finished with the tour of Hato Caves.

Now we are in town this is an old Jewish church.

This building is the smallest building where they sale t-shirts.

This is where they sale these weird little dolls this one is a big one on how it suppose to look they are actually smaller the ones the ladies make and paint at this shop.  If you are lucky you can have the original ladies sign them too.

These are actual small boats that have produce that are lined up on the docks where they sale produce they come in from Veneszuela. Which in these small boats can take up to 6-7 hours.
